Compression Test - Am I ever DUMB!
Oh, boy. I just searched this forum for Compression test numbers and just learned that I maybe did something dumb. We ran a compression test on my buddies RSA track car. Engine was cool(mistake 1) and we did not have someone step on the gas when testing(mistake 2).
We got 205 for four cylinders, one at 185, and one at 190. Should I scrap these numbers and do it again? Thanks.

Try it again: But the number its self is not as important as how close they are to each other as I am sure you know. We can bump up the numbers huge on our 2.7 just by changing the cam overlap.

It won't be ideal, but it won't change much with WOT.
On individual throttle bodied cars it makes a huge difference, but on common plenum intakes, not so much. Being warm will be a bigger issue, so definitely retest.

i never do it WOT, mainly becuase it is just me. plus i look at it this way. i am ony using them as a reference to each other, and if my numbers are hi with the throttle closed, they can only get better. plus, as someone said, if the numbers are in the dirt, WOT is not going to make a difference.
i also do the 911 cold. i am not fast enough to do all 6 so the temp of number one is the same as number 6, that in itself could be missleading.
