Tool kit layout; can't find...searched
I recently saw a great pic of the full tool kit ('87+ Carrera) in "as delivered" layout "in the bag"; long shot perhaps, but maybe I can learn/see that here now? Too technical?

Thanks! Now I think I have figured out the use of two of the following items indicated by arrows; #1 and #2 are for what, headlight adjustment? The screwdriver handle would fit on too, it seems. So what is #3, the 10mm x 13mm double-ended socket/spinner for? Are these items only part of '87 thru '89 cars? Thanks again....

Guys really... I'm trying to understand this.
I really don't mean to be negative but... What I do is drive my car like I stole it OFTEN. And I actually get my car dirty and then wash it. I got a stone chip last weekend and I didn't cry or anything. ![]()

I like that you asked. I bought 10 of these tool kits brand new about 20 years ago and it is nice to know how they were placed.

No. 1: Looks like a CIS mixture adjustment tool...Which doesn't make sense considering the year of the car.
No. 2: I've never seen that in a tool kit before but I haven't seen many. What's on the other end we can't see in the photo? No. 3: Is a simple box end spanner. 10mm and 13 mm are very common fasteners on the engine. For instance the nuts holing the coil and the intake nuts are 13mm. The bolts holding the tin ware in place are 10mm. My 78 tool roll has two spark plug sockets. One longer than the other. I could never figure out why you would need two. The shorter one works perfect for all of the plugs. (like yours)

That is where part #1 chrome end slips on. It's an allen tip. Number 1 is a small diameter allen extension, maybe 4mm. But I sure don't know what the tool is for. The other end of the main tool fits the screwdriver handle.

Its for power seats with fore and aft should that function fail. I've never had a reason to use one, but under the seat there is a motor. Beyond that I would guess there is a plug or opening in or near the motor for the tool to fit.
There is also another small crank tool that is used in case of a power sunroof failure. |

Sounds like the later Carreras had no manual "slide" capability. Interesting. Thanks, all! I have put it together as it all best fits, with "things that go together" together; rolls up well (now everyone can get on to more important stuff).

Great idea...identifying what we might need to complete our respective tool set.
Looking for: #6 (key 24 for the fan belt) Have to trade: Klein pliers (#8) Heyco 12/13 and 8/10 (#5 double end spanner each)
