Angry Help with disabling SC alarm sys.

My '83 SC's alarm is acting as if it's armed, when it's not. This problem has been an on going problem that I am now fedup with. There is nothing constant about when it does and doesn't act up. Fortunate for me the alarm horn doesn't work, but the you can hear the relay clicking and she won't start. The other day I was stuck in a parking lot with the alarm system prevent the car from running. Every time I either open the door (driver's or passenger), or turn the key, it got tripped. Then after 20 minutes of this, I turned the key yet again and nothing alarm wise and she started. Last night in the garage I opened the door and off the alarm went. This morning I opened the door and all was good. Drove her to work, shut the car off, open the door, the alarm went off. I left work, open the door with fingers crossed, all was good, and she started.
This thing has developed a mine of it's own and I want to pull it's plug.

Does anyone know how to take the system out of the loop, yet be able to drive the car. I have a Bentley's repair manual so I can see how it's wired, but I had heard there was a way to jumper a couple of the wires to bypass the whole system, yet enable the car to still run as normal.

Any assitance would be greatly appreciated.

What type (brand) of alarm?
I did this once on a Carrera where there was a relay spliced into the thick yellow wire going from the ignition switch to the fuse block. I removed the relay and made a jumper out of a short piece of wire to by-pass the relay.

This for the factory alarm system. Looking at the wiring diagram in the Bentley's manual, under the schematic for the ignition system , I see the yellow wire you are speaking of. It goes to the fuel pump relay. The diagram though doesn't show that wire going to the fuse box. That's not to say there isn't one. Possibly though on the Carerras they made some changes.

Per the schematic for the alarm sys, there is a red/blk wire that goes from the ignition to the fuse box, fuse #7. From there the wire goes to the alarm module, to pin #15. The other power feed wire ("hot at all times")for the alarm system comes from the fuse box #2. It's a red wire, go figure, and goes to pin #30 on the alarm module.

As I said, I have heard about a way to jumper 2 of the wires at the alarm module, but need to know which two. The diagram in the book has a typo, unfortunately. 2 of the pins on the alarm module are labeled #61. One of these #61s goes to Battery Charge indicator in the dash. The other one goes to the alternator. I have no idea as to why the alarm system would be tied into a idiot light on the dash, or the alternator, but it is.

Looking at the schematic, I do have an idea and hopefully someone out there can verify my hunch.

The car will crank over and run for all of a second and die. This would be normal if the alarm was truly armed. Since the alarm sys, prevents the fuel pump to run, via interrupting power to the fuel pump relay, can I jumper the FP relay wire to the ignition wire, bypassing the alarm module?

Before I start cutting and splicing, I'd like to get some assurance.

Thanks,
