Post C2 shifter into 87 Carrera?

Anyone ever done this before?
I want to fit a C2 shifter, handbrake lever and the console bit to my 87 Carrera.

I don't know of anyone who has tried this... but it would be cool. If you have allot of time on your hands I guess.

I'd assume the C/2 and G-50 slowarreras would share the same sype of shift linkage.

Easy, while you're still @#$%&ing with that 915, desperately looking for second gear, i'll be reaching for my G50's third and heading for 100!

Anyway,

The first pic is the 87-89 G50 shifter setup. The second is the 964 setup (circa 1991). Doesn't look like they're directly interchangeable.

"slowarreras" - Ouch, that hurt. (my feelings, not my transmission)

Thanks for the scanned pix kevin. The local ruf distributor here had actually done one of these before.
According to him, lots of work and you'd have to buy all the bits.

Don't know if it would affect the shifting as I assume the linkages would have to be changed as well.

Would look cool though.
