Please ID this - temp sensor or alarm siren?

I know this sound vague, but is this a stock temp sensor under the dash or an alarm component.
(Car is the '87 930)
Have tried to trace the wires but finding difficult

I will stop hunting if it is a stock factory piece which has a purpose, but will hunt the cables down 'like a dog' if they are alarm associated!
Thanks in advance for any help
Taa
Ben

Looks like an screamer to me.....can you get it out and supply 12v to it? Any serial numbers on it? If none, likely an aftermarket thingy....Porsche marks everything.

- You stalking me Joebob?

May have to buy some 'RUF' graphics off ya, once this car works, to pay you back!

Thanks - will have to hunt this one some more!
- Really bugs me that some hacker has used those splice connectors all over the place to hacking into power supplies here and there, rather than get independant power
I hate it when people dont do something properly - lack of knowledge and/or cheap route.
- Aftermarket alarms are thw biggest waste of money ever!
- seems to have been a craze of the late eighties and ninetees here in europe

Only if ya had boobs.....

Previous owners suck. I've been lucky on most of my POs. Nothing really bad that I couldn't fix. My 83 cab had an alarm from hell, took me weeks to clean it all out. I had a five pound ball of wire an fried electronics.......the worst was the aftermarket Air Conditioning they installed in France.

That fell into a big box as well, at least I was able to sell the components....

The PO was an airline pilot.....took it to his work stations then it came over to Texas, got Federalized there, and then to CA where they hacked at it again.

I feel yer pain. Bentley, me and the wire diagrams were good buddies.....then I did a 3.6 conversion.

Not working, I'm bored as hell....so if a I see someone posting about stuff I've run into, I try to help.....

Good Luck....

I've got the exact same thing in the same place on my '85 Euro - would love to find out what it is.
My car doesn't have an alarm btw.

Might also be a glass break sensor for an alarm system.

Had a piezo buzzer in mine as well, suspect it's intended use was headlight reminder but a PO decided that it should be connected across the alternator light.
