Any Value in a core '69 T engine?
I have gotten a core 1969 2.0 911 engine as part of a package on a car I bought. It has no intake or exhaust, has not run in eons and does not turn over. Purely a core motor.
I have no real need of it, but who knows, could come in handy down the line or I could sell it. That said, its going to cost me probably $200 to have it shipped to me. I am seriously doubting its worth that. Opinions?

Have you seen pics?? I would invest that if it was to my car, hell I would pay that to ship it to my house without seeing it. I would investigat it more pics for sure.
How did you end up with the car and need to have the motor shipped to you? My brother has a place in Balground, neighbors!! Regards |

The engine is just part of a package... does not go with any specific car I have. I bought 2 cars and 2 other engines and 1 extra transmission. The transmission can go on the floor of the project car for shipping, that leaves me with 2 engines to figure out shipping on. One of those is a complete decent shape engine, the other is the core T that I question whether its even worth shipping.

For that cost of acquisition, if you have the storage space, why not? It's kind of a stewardship thing. Store it someplace dry while you look for someone who could use it to keep his or her car on the road.

My 69T came with a 71 2.2 engine....Would be worth it to me to pay shipping to offer to buyer when/if I sell it?

A 69T motor is the least loved of any 911 motor. If you can get the fan+surround, flywheel and distributor removed and sent, the rest used as landfill, you will be better off.
