Alternator options
It's a Valeo YV 2700. Not much info about it on Pelican or the Internets. Good model, bad? Is there somebody worthwhile to rebuild it, or just buy something else and send it in as a core?
Thanks!

I went to my local electrical motor rebuild shop and had them rebuild my original. If you look in your local phone book I am sure you will find a shop within 30 min of you. I called them up and told them I had an old porsche alternator . Brought it to them tested it in house and rebuilt it for me. Worked out great..

+1 on the rebuild at local automotive electrical shop specializing in alts, generators and starters - usually just brushes and bearing.
