what's this attached to my 3.2 engine lid?
It's attached underneath the engine lid. Do I really need it? Sorry tried my books and I don't even know what to search for here. Cheers!

It's your engine bay light. The section in the center will slide open to expose the light bulb ( and turn on ).
Your head lights must be on in order for it to function.

Looks like you need to re-attach it to make it useful.....

Careful routing the wiring. It's the main reason the dome lights short out.
If you using the original wires, look for pinching that can ground and blow the fuse.

your driver's side running light and tail light circuit runs through that little beauty. If it is not wired correctly, those circuits will not operate.

It helped me out last week. My fanbelt exploded and I didn't have a flashlight. Flicked that sucker on, changed the belt on the side of I-5 with the ample toolkit and was on my way...what a well thought out car.

Post hijack alert! I have an aftermarket lid and spoiler, no little light. If the wiring affects the running lights, et al, would say, a previous owner boogered up the wiring?

![]() I'd venture a guess to say that you could omit that fixture and re-wire properly to ensure that particular circuit operates correctly. If you don't have the light but all your lights are working right, I would assume my theory is correct. ![]()
