Lesson learned
Out for a little cruise this afternoon and while winding up through about 5G in second when I hear this muffled bang...let off on it and everything sounds normal. Look in the mirror for any debris in the road...nothing. Cruise along for a short distance and I notice the temp gauge acting very erratic. Pull over and open the hood and sure enough the wire is off the temp sender...but what is that purple fiber around the end of the sender???
Oh **** its a piece of the rag I use to check the oil that I had been stuffing up in behind the filter! Most of the rest of the rag was wedged down where the fan belt goes around the lower pulley. I can see bits and pieces back behind the fan so I guess tomorrow I'll be pulling off the block off tin on the RT and the duct piece on the LT to see if I can' t fish out the rest. Note to self..Nothing to be left loose in the engine compartment lest it will wind up in the Mix-O-Matic! TJ ![]()

keep the rags in a zyploc bag ... and put them in the passenger door pocket or rear seat delete ... but hopefully just a lesson learned and not any damage other than cleaning and fishing whats left of that rag .........
