a/c knobs
1981 911SC
the a/c has two knobs on the console. the right one is the on/off and fan speed. What does the left knob do (with the swurly emblem). if you turn it completely clockwise, what does it do? What about counterclock wise? Tx!John |

On my '73 it controls how cold the air is. Rotating in the direction of the fatter end of the "swirl" = colder.

I believe Phoenix is correct, which really qualifies it as a 'wishful thinking' knob. When, with a 911's AC system, is the expelled air just too darned cold?
