Thumbs up Pictures (Long live the Long-bonnet)

Apart from just wanting to gratuitously post pictures of my car, I've spent the last two weeks re-upholstering it. The old upholstry was not original anyway, so I went with what felt good.

I made up a replica set of RS carpets from photos on this website and some of my own interpretation. I also wanted a slightly more refined look on my door panels other than the RS spec.

I've also put new lenses on the car as the old ones were pretty beat up. I just love these cars

Cheers

Wow! That blue is beautiful, and the car just keeps getting better!

(And by the way, what's wrong with gratuitous pictures?)

Thanks Jack. As the owner of Black Beauty, your opinion counts!

Pitty these cars aren't dogs....we could breed up a real winner

Okay I'm getting a little perverse now

Buck, the original colour is Ossi Blue, but I've since heard the colour refered to as "Acid Blue", does Ossi mean Acid?

I can honestly say that the colour is just as good in the flesh.

Tobluforu, what colour do you understand it to be? Or is yours a custom colour?

You are right of course...blue is best!

Gorgeous car Fishcop. Interior is stunning. Love the color!

Man, I would love to build a 916 rep with some coloration like that.

I have more projects on my mind than anything else. I think it's my job man. I just sit there and dream of car ***** all day.

Anyway, posting pics like that doesn't help. Thank God the prospect of changing the color of my car completely is so incredibly huge, I won't go out and pay to have it painted that color.

Toblu: same for your car. In nearly all cases, I do not like the straight black rims. They just don't stand out enough. However, the contrast of colors coupled with going all black works well there. It just plain looks wicket. I thinks it's the fact that it's all blue and then black rims...the contrast is particularly intriguing.

Wow, beautiful car! Keep posting!

Its hard to tell from my crappy laptop screen, but is that color similar to French Racing Blue? Always loved that color, as seen on pre-war Bugatti racing cars. Fantastic-
