Great idea, I do have some old pictures I need to find.

I also have an old newspaper clip that I should take a picture of. It has a picture of the car sitting in the background up in Encinitas, CA.

That can be put to a good cause!
Will do, my main goal right now is to get the car running. It's over at Performance Porsche with Mark right now. He is working on the fuel system. I seem to have a bad warm up regulator and fuel distributor. He is hoping to get the fuel distributor working again.

Photographers sometimes black out plates as they are distracting in photos.

Yes, it is there now. Will be there until it is running. Once it is running I am going to have Mark do a couple things to the interior.

So it looks like my warm up regulator is dead. Mark at Performance Porsche tried 2 others he had with no luck. One was providing too much pressure and another was not giving enough pressure. He has one more that he is going to try. If that WUR doesn't work does anyone have any ideas? I guess it will need to be replaced. Does Pelican sell these? I think Mark can get one but was trying to avoid that as they are a bit expensive.

Hey everyone, it's running!

It needed a
- oil change
- battery
- fuel pump
- warm up regulator

Click on the image to view the video I shot earlier today. I know it's kind of lame but I was pretty excited to start it up and pump the gas a few times! Now I need to run it for a while because there is no way this is passing smog in California right now.

Here is the link if you can click on the image, ‪It's Running! 1979 911sc‬‏ - YouTube

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Scared to show you the interior right now. Next week that project starts. I will be sure to upload some photos, videos when the interior looks a little better.

The worse it looks now will prove what a great job you did fixing it up! Have fun with it.

How neat to have a mother who drove a 911. Good on you for getting the car back into shape, it looks really good thus far.

Great looking car. I'm sure you will not regret keeping your car. Pelican is an awesome community.

Your next step as a 911 Owner in San Diego is to show up at Qualcomm stadium on August 7th. There you will meet about 100 local Porsche enthusiasts . Please check out pcasdr.net

Happy to report that I have been driving 2-3 times per week. Things are looking good, I will post some updated photos here soon. Still lots of cosmetic items but mechanically things have been good.

If anyone has a suggestion for door speakers please reply. I am looking to purchase a decent set of speakers for the doors. I am thinking I will only use the door speakers and just remove the ones in the back. I know I can probably find a set for the doors that will satisfy my needs.

As has been stated before, list what parts you need! I have many interior parts in blue and black from my SC race car(s) and an 81 Turbo (those are blue and need to be dyed black if that's what you need).

Just sitting in bags in my basement, won't charge much more than shipping for a project like this..
