Idle speed AND speedometer acting up at the same time...
I was at a light about a mile from home when the idle on my stock '84 3.2 jumped to a steady 3000 rpm for about 5-10 seconds then it dropped back down. When I pulled into the garage it did the same thing, right to 3000 rpm. After a few seconds it dropped back down. I revved and waited, but couldn't duplicate this. Then, as I turned off the car, the speedometer jumped to indicate 40 mph and slowly dropped to zero as the engine died.
Any suggestions? |

happends to me when voltage is really low...check your alternator!
