Red face no mas the third gear. Help!!!!

Did a little autocross this weekend with the 930 and did pretty well except for one thing. As I came around a corner my hip knocked the tranny out of second gear, well no big deal put it back in first a took off. After my lap I hit the street to cool the turbo down for a few minutes and tried to get third to no avail! It will almost go in but not quite. Everything else is fine, please don't tell me it's an internal shift fork, plaease , please, please. If it is I guess oh well such is life. Also if any of you autocross, how much of a disadvantage was I at by running normal tire press. I noticed that I could not hold the speed in the sweepers the others were without pushing the front end. I did it merely for fun and because it was held next door to my business. Maybe next time I will take it more seriously. I did win my class however. Thanks in advance.
