Costco Car Cover
Thanks to the P-Car, my truck doesn't get to live in the garage. I'm looking for a cover for it. I heard about covers from Costco, so I checked it out. They refer to a Coverking XtremeWeave Custom Fit Car Cover. I went to Coverking's web site, but found no reference to the ExtremeWeave material. Does anyone know any specifics about the ExtremeWeave material? I'm looking for a cover that has very good breathability since the truck will be covered for long periods of time between uses. Any help is greatly appreciated.

just bought one for the Porsche and so-far-so good. I went with the costco one, after reading a few other threads on car covers.

+1 on the Costco cover. Have used one for 2 years on my '80SC w/turbo tail, works great!

I too have a Costco car cover for the 911. I haven't used it yet but based on this seems like it will work out ok.

I bought one a year or two ago, i think it was $130 delivered.
It is a very good cover, here's my thoughts on it: 1. Breatheability = excellent. It dries very quickly. 2. Waterproof = average. It's not really a waterproof or even highly water resistant cover. As they say, it's for "general use" or sunny climates. 3. Fit = excellent. Mine is on my mercedes, and the fit is perfect. Mirror pockets, pockets for the little roof antenna and even the hood emblem. Overall fit couldn't be better. 4. UV protection. Not sure, but it is a metallic-y silver and seems to reflect sun/heat away from the car. 5. Bulk = pretty good, it doesn't take a huge amt of space. 6. Value = excellent. IMO you can't get a better custom, general/light weather use cover for anywhere near the money. The material clearly isn't as expensive or high tech as some of the others out there (like the WeatherShield HD cover I have for another car, which is a close to $300 cover and keeps the car dry in even fairly heavy storms, but also breathes well), but it is a very good every day use cover. |

The costco deal sounds good but also consider carcoversdirect.com.They sell the weathershield HD and several grades of covers. If you want custom they will make one specifically for your car to match any splitters, wings, etc that you may have.
If you find something your interested in let them know Al the race car guy sent you ( they sponsor me ), just tell them your part of the club and ask for 15% that my friends\racers are supposed to get. Moderator, if this reply is not appropriate, just pull it and let me know.
