weak spring -seatbelt
Is it possible to tighten the seatbelt recoil on these cars?
If so how?? Thanks in advance |

Sorry to say, No.
Before I changed mine due to PCA rules for events. I sponged down the belts with soap and water and extended them to dry over night. It seemed to make them stiffer and recoiled better but nothing compared to new belts.

I did the driver side last year. It took 2 hours to get it back together with the wife(after the spring came unwound and flew apart). It helped it retract a little until I was able to find a good one. I wouldn't recommend doing it. Not worth the safety risk if it doesn't lock when you need it too!
