Steering column bushing replacement

I have a 77 911. on bumpy roads or even going over man whole covers my steering wheel will shake violently. The steering play is fine. Bumpy roads shake the !@#$ out my arms though. Is the "Steering column bushing replacement" fix meant to correct this.

Thanks for any advice you may choose to give.

Can you move the steering wheel up/down while stationary? If yes, then the bushing will fix that.

If not, then you need to inspect the front suspension. Loose bits here can be transmitted and amplified through the steering wheel.

How low is the car? You may need to add a bump steer kit.
