ANY A/C DISCUSSION IS DISRUPTED BY ALL OF A/C TROLL SHRILL'S here at Pelican

IT IS REALLY SAD THAT EVERY SINGLE TREAD HERE RELATED TO THE SUBJECT OF 911 A/C IS DISRUPTED BY ALL OF A/C TROLL SHRILL'S here at Pelican

GO TAKE A LOOK AT ANY OF THESES THREADS GOING BACK YEARS AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN

ITS REALLY SAD THAT ANYONE WITH ANY REAL 911 A/C KNOWLEDGE EXCEPT Charles Griffiths at GTI TAKES THE TIME POST ANYTHING IN THESE TREADS

Reid,

I think your presentation skills are leading to your problems. It has been, what, 4 years since you started posting? It is not clear if you're trying to start a business or just showing some original ideas. You come across as the kid that got a new football and then when everybody starts playing, gets mad and takes his ball and goes home. Nobody liked that kid.

They are "threads", not "treads".

Stop typing in all caps. It is the equivalent of shouting at people.

If you just want to show you're trying something, fine. Nothing wrong with that. More power to you. I like the box over the front condenser idea.

If you want to sell something, well I don't know if your current method is working too well. You lure more flies with honey than vinegar kind of thing.

Take it for what it's worth...

Hello Reid,

I read your PM. Nowhere did we talk money or sending my car toy your shop of choice (I would not anyways, I'm a DIY'er type).

I'm just REALLY confused what you're trying to do here?

Are you selling, or bragging?

I don't think there will be a lot of bashing this if you go to market and there seems to be interest.

Even if there was, you'd be laughing to the bank.

Either sh !t, or get off the pot! ;) :)

Thanks,
Tippy

This statement is completely false. MANY knowledgeable and experienced folks have posted in these threads and they have the results to back it up.

I for one consider myself a/c knowledgeable and my results, utilizing "outdated/obsolete technology", as you are fond of calling it, speak clearly to this. How does 29 degree Fahrenheit vent temperature, at 30psi low side and 210 psi high side pressures (R134A), with 98 degree and 60+ % humidity ambient, remarkably quick recovery from extended heat soak, and bone chilling performance in even the worst stop & go traffic, sound?

This is accomplished with an OEM Nippodenso compressor, OEM Turbo 1/2 bay tail condenser (tube and fin), OEM nose condenser (tube and fin), serpentine evaporator, serpentine fender condenser with fan in the left rear fender, high side, high/low pressure switch added, GM blower motor with OEM 1987 blower fan installed, heavily insulated evaporator box, great care taken to insulate dash openings from outside air enty, replaced old, degraded a/c ducting, etc., etc. All work performed by me with knowledge gained from experience (reading, hard work & trial and error) and from people who know what they are talking about (including many on the board).

Ya', I have "no real a/c knowledge and" that "outdated/obsolete technology" crapola really sux!

Reid, your new product ideas are interesting, but your repeated, adamant claims that they achieve results which are vastly superior to the a/c garbage that is currently available on the market, are laughable.

I don't think Reid has the first clue about what he's doing. And his poor salesmanship and combative online persona really would give me a very bad feeling if I even considered buying from him. Actually, at the beginning of my AC journey, I did consider buying from him. I even inquired about the products. But I was blown off (like most all his other potential customers), and in my mind, this was a very good thing. I am very pleased to have not purchased anything from Reid. I don't have confidence in his products, and certainly don't have confidence that he'll stand behind them. I would have been happy to test a DIY application, and write detailed DIY instructions with photos (I have done this before on numerous occasions) and help him, except for how he acts online. And if this is the way he acts here, what happens if he has hundreds of dollars of your money? Over a thousand? I know exactly what will happen if I give GTI my money. I have direct experience.

Charlie is one of those rare guys that goes above and beyond. Sells a good product, supports it well, AND shares his expertise (free of charge) on the forum. Where is Reid during the AC season when folks are trying to fix their stuff? I have NEVER seen him even try and help. Even wwest is a better source of DIY info. Not much better, but at least he tries. Why in the heck would I ever give money to Reid for anything?

Reid, you are a liar. If you lie about such a small thing here, in public, what other stuff might you be dishonest about? After all your PM raving about taking legal action, you have the gall to act in the same way yourself? A liar and a hypocrite. Maybe better you go away for another year and formulate a business plan where you are not the company front man. You might actually sell more than one of these systems every two years that way.

As the saying goes, there are more than one way to skin a cat. Too bad all parties can't get together for some collaboration. We might all then be driving Ice Cubes LOL.

New early model 911 a/c cab console controlled display

After successfully re=engineering and testing several Early Model 911's A/C's;

I have completed, including completely re-engineering the early model Entire A/C System USING ONLY modern state of the art technology for all of the components and the flow of the gas’s using only R143A.

For quite some time I have been working on a far better way to precisely control the extremely cold in the 30’s F A/C air vent temps, I have been able to constantly get using only TWO of my PFC condensers in the original front and rear OEM places and so my PFE evaporator does not freeze and I now believe I have found the solution

This left only; precise digital microprocessor controlling of all the A/C System components undone!

Reid -- This all "sounds" great, but until there is "real world" independent testing, I doubt you're going to get much traction with the skeptics here. I hope you prove everyone wrong, but the only way to do it is to put some units in the field and let people run them through their paces.

baloo 03-26-2015 02:25 PM

Reid,
I am listening.
If you have a modification that replaces the air cooled Porsches' ridiculous air flow levers, I definitely am interested.

I am not looking for traction

Its proven to the owners I have have decided to make things for

ALL ARE VERY HAPPY

I have never done any of this for how much I could make, OR MONEY!

I did it because I got angry at the crap or old technology being sold by those filling their pockets in the early model 911 aftermarket when, I wanted to buy new A/C technology I knew existed for years and works far better for making early model 911's cold, even before my first post here.

Read my very first post here ! July-02-2011, 10:34 PM
It completely is still my mindset from day one and has never changed!

I am sorry for how I come off to some people, it’s not intentional, my mind thinks in analytical logic and is not like normal people, no one is perfect I can’t help it!!

Have a nice Day!

Hello baloo

I have no idea what you mean by what you said?

especally

"air flow levers" ???

my latest post was about a a new digital controller for a/c components that could be used by people who have a CONSOLE near their gear shift or under dash

its not really for people with stock OEM A/C components fyi

Right your analytic thinking process is completely out of line with the other members of a technical form, which regularly features posts showing amazing acts of restoration and mechanical ingenuity.

There are lots of smart and technical people here. Lots of them are annoyed by this thread because you keep telling us how awesome your innovations are. Yet you have shown us no actual innovations. Telling us you are not normal because you are more of a logical thinker than us is the ultimate absurdity.

Packaging a more modern heat exchanger into an old car is a completely straightforward if not trivial task.

tobluforu 03-27-2015 07:33 AM

What's this I feel on my skin, is it actually the sun heating it? Well that must mean its time once again re-vive the infamous AC threads we have all come to enjoy.

YES

Its always been One Step at a time

I have finally finished doing EVERYTHING I set out todo and proven it to several very happy local clients that are early model 911 OWNERS.

Next is how I decide WHAT market to market to and/or who I might get to market it for me?

For the moment I might make some PFC's for DIY'ers for Testing (not free) If I like them

wwest 03-27-2015 10:27 AM

Sorta makes me glad that you don't like me.

Keep it that way, PLEASE.

Reverse The Gases

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427555463.jpg

Fortunately for ensuing generations, the iconic image of a brilliant idea is not a naked Archimedes, but rather the familiar overhead light bulb, representing the “Eureka Moment” when the fog clears and clarity rushes in.

Why Porsche Early Model 911 Engineer’s or Other People over the decades or all those who tried to improve the Air Conditioning System well known lack of Condenser Surface Area MISSED THIS FACT AMAZES ME!

IF YOU REVERSE THE GAS FLOW NOT ONLY IS THE EARLY MODEL911 A/C SYSTEM TEMPERATURE MUCH COLDER THE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE DOES NOT appreciably RISE WHEN TURNED ON!

I discovered this 2 years ago when thinking outside the box and tried something crazy on a 911 late at night I was working on, that had been in the back of my mind for a long time and never read or heard anyone anywhere ever did this, and it works better than I could have imagined!

I give this information freely to 911 owners because I care about you and always have from my enjoyment being an early model 911 owner myself for over 25 years!

I am sorry but I am not going to answer questions about this subject now, it should be obvious and you should be able to figure it out for yourself.

I know this simple and true information when applied is going to be a game changer LoL

As you know from reading my posts where you are reading this in my Thread, I have been doing 911 early model aftermarket A/C engineering posts here since Join Date: Jul 2011.

BELIEVE IT OR DON'T, BUT IT IS FACT!

911 tweaks 03-28-2015 10:08 AM
