Mark -- Good to see you last weekend --
I just discovered this thread! Your car represents the state-of-the-art in Porsche hotrodding right now -- I am a total fan of it! Thanks for sharing all the details . . . (the 15's do look better) |
Mark's car is everywhere
After all the redo's on your car (each time it looks like the ultimate) you up the ante just a little more.
The coverage in the latest Esses Magazine is great, very well done. Those Cibie (all six), the steering wheel and the wheels are all such knock-out touches. Way cool. Bob http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1340403210.jpg |
Hey you guys, thanks a lot. I love the car.
And, I'm having the time of my life driving and meeting other enthusiasts. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1340406987.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1340407005.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1340407021.jpg |
Le Mans Classic
What a cool early hot rod this is. I absolutely love the hood paint treatment...

Love that car!!

Are we seeing a preview of the next look?

Maybe my interpretation of the above ... which opens the door to a lot of possibilities. :D |
The latest look is stunning Mark.
Great inspiration to get on with mine... |
Thanks very much Al... get 'crackin on that project :)

Early MOMO Monti Carlo
I just love this old stuff. Here's a nearly impossible to find piece of Gianpiero Moretti / MOMO history... one of the earliest wheels he created. It was made prior to the formation of MOMO (1966) probably between 1964-65.
It's an NOS Monti Carlo, 380mm diameter. Completely hand-made. Really a stunning old wheel. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1343233713.jpg |
Updates R Us
I thought some of you guys might like to see the new seats I got from Vintage Seats;
ST driver and R passenger with correct German vinyl with large perforations and black cord inserts. They look great and perfect for my car... I think anyway. And... here's something fun. A Salvador Dali designed Pirelli belt buckle I found... soon to become an engine grill badge  http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1349126606.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1349126621.jpg |
Dialed as always. Seats look great.
|
Maaak!!! How ya doin'?!!! Lookin' good as always. Mine's in the shop finally. Any fall runs planned?
|
Mark,
Very very cool! Things like your seat detail is what makes good cars great. |
Mark,
That is the right seat combo. Excellent....and I like the Dali, as well. regards, Al |

As well, the seats look great, Mark. |
Thanks a lot you guys. Mark... sent you an email... hope your car will soon be waking up the neighbors :D
Kevin, that is indeed Scott (Scooter) on the right. Had a blast hanging out with him and a bunch of the other Pacific Northwest Gruppe guys. I've recently said this and it's good to say it again: I've had a few different kinds of sports cars over the years and hung out with the folks who dig them. NONE of them can compare to our amazing Porsche community — There's more passion, comradery and closeness of mind and spirit here that I've never seen anywhere else. I really think it's because Porsche's great history and the quality of it's best car, the 911 gets in your blood and burrows inside your DNA— owners forever become emotionally connected to their cars. It's a magical thing. |
Mark, the car looks great! Hopefully, we'll be able to meet up on my next trip up north.
