Hot rod re-introduction

I think it's finally finished this time. I know... they're never really totally finished.

I had to do this ... I just love the early cars so much. You may remember that it had a lot more RS influences before. Obviously, I'm close to R clone territory but it's certainly not an R clone. (not that there's anything wrong with that) I think it's got that late '60s, early '70s rally thing going on pretty nicely.

Some of the upgrades:
SWB headlight assemblies (with city lights option).
Vintage Cibie biode headlights
550 Spyder fender mirror
Cibie pallas hood lamps
Balsa reinforcement under the hood
Early front bumper
Early engine lid with Porsche script (grill mounted under lid)
SC flares smoothed out
One front hood clip instead of two.

Hope you guys like it. I sure do

Thanks guys. It's kind of funny... I really wasn't too sure about the buckets with the city lights option. But after using them on a rainy/foggy type day on a drive and seeing photos... wow. I changed my mind in a big way.
They look too damn cool for school

The whole package is amazing but the unobtanium Biodes really put it over the top. Nice work Mark.

Friggin awesome!! When you say you smoothed out the SC flares, what do you mean? Just rounded off the transition from the curved top to the more vertical side lips?

Pretty much Kevin. I just wanted to take the hard edges away so they are just rounded off. I'll take some detail photos.

Awesome! And I thought it was done when I saw it last August.

Hope to see you again in August for "Porsches and Planes" in Reading.

Would love to see a pic of it lit up at night. Doesn't have to be on the Mulsanne straight but that would be nice too.

Mark, you're SICK.

Love it, and I agree about the city lights.

Yeah, well... It's OK... I guess I wouldn't kick it out of the garage for leaking oil.

Seriously Mark, very well done. Two thumbs up IMO buddy. Fantastic attention to those satanic details which I love. Now, when do I get to drive it?
