Rhd

I am thinking of purchasing a 911 out of England that is a RHD. Is there any rules regulations or disadvantages that I should be aware of?

unless it's sale of the century, I would think having the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car would be a massive disadvantage. UK cars have always been more expensive in my experience than US cars anyway, although the pound is pretty weak right now.

Would be good for a track car though.

I've though so also, but I don't know if I could get used to shifting with my left hand.

... rust,rust,rust and lastly rust ...
Driving with the steering on the 'wrong' side and without a passenger to see when overtaking can be somewhat hazardous.
I had some 'interesting' manoeuvers in a rhd 911 in southern Germany and Switzerland many years ago.

Cheers,
Dennis.

Rust is an issue with any classic car from the UK but it's easy to spot if you can view the car in person.

-------------------------------------------------

There must be many cars for sale right now in the US. Surely you can find a good local 911.

When I started driving in UK I found that keeping my dominant hand, (right), on the wheel felt quite natural and I prefer it.

Very true!!

As a matter of fact in 1980--- the Australian government mandated a "Left Hand Drive" sticker on the rear window of any left hand drive car.

And, there were several fatalities in Alice due to right hand drive cars.

In my opinion, the car should "fit" the country of use.

Cheers,

Gerry
