My E-Brake works but...?
How high should I be able to pull it up? I can go 10 clicks before its tight. It seems like it should only go up maybe 5 or so. Any thoughts?

4-6 max. You need to adjust the E-brake at the rear wheels equally.
Lift both wheels up, remove wheels. locate the access hole on the rotor and tighten the start wheel until the rotor stops then back it out 2 clicks. go to the other side and do the same. Check the E-brake handle if less then 4 clicks, loose each side equally until you are satisfied. I suggest 4 clicks so you don't have to adjust for awhile. Jim

Thanks Jim. The Reason I was asking Is because everytime I put it up... the whole boot comes with it... and it's driving me nuts. I will adjust as you said thanks.

Welcome Brother, Glad to assist.
Heck if I were in the hood I would help yeah. Just get a good flash light and your PAG straight edge screw driver and go to town. The star wheel is at about 6:00 o'clock. spray some PB blaster to help it along. Not too much remember it is your E-Brake. ;-) Look at a diagram and you can visualize where you need to lube, the star notches and the spring it rides on. Jim

The OEM screw driver is the perfect fit for that access hole.

Seymore,
Correction the access hole needs to be at just below 3 o clock on the driver side and just below 9 o clock on the passenger side. With your screw driver, to tighten you click the star wheel to forward of the car on both sides, the star wheel is set up like a mirror image. I also found the E-brake cable going into the back of the hub should be free of play no more than 1MM ( you want a little play ). Grasp the cable and pull away from the hub. If it comes out, it is too loose. Take two 17MM wrenchs to loosen the jam nut and adjust nut. Once loose use a 10MM (maybe 12MM) to hold the cable as you take in the adjust nut, once you are happy with the play, lock it up. Do this on both sides so the E-brake will pull both sides evenly. Adjust the star wheel until rotor stops moving and click the star wheel to the left to loosen the brake. Couple of clicks on each side then check the E-brake handle. You want 4 clicks. If more is needed, do one click at a time until you are satisfied. I just did this last night after finishing my caliper rebuild. Jim
