I think you are right. I just assumed that the Abarth offered by Mr. Fiat comes only in 370mm, but as Arne mentioned in a subsequent message the current web-link to the wheel shows 35cm or 350mm. Damn, that was a rookie mistake on my part! I am still hoping that the angled spacer from JWest will fix the problem, otherwise I will be rotating the gauges.

Where did you find a 370 Abarth?

I got it from Mr. Fiat, but when I look there now all I see are 350mm (35cm) wheels. The 370mm may have been phased out. Might be worth a call, however. Fiat 500 600 Abarth Steering Wheel 3 Spoke
I did. This was their reply:

We had them incorrectly listed at 370 mm, they were always 350 mm.

Here's mine. I also went with Arne's setup. The JWest eccentric is definitely the way to go.

Hmm. Not sure I buy that. I'll measure mine once I get home tonight. I could swear mine is larger than 350mm.

I love the Abarth and I inquired about the 37cm version but Mr.Fiat responded:

Quote:
I measured ours and its 14 inches in diameter so 35.5 cm.
Where did you all get your 37cm from? The only one I can find is the pricier Zuffenhaus version

Mine is 370mm. Well a touch more than 368mm, if you want to get picky.

I've always suspected that the Abarths are made for Abarth by Momo. I wonder if Momo stopped making the 370mm blank, and so Abarth in Italy had to accept 350mm instead. Maybe they didn't bother to change the catalog number, just made a rolling change to 350mm after the 370mm stock ran out.

Poor Mr. Fiat orders a new batch of wheels from Italy using the same catalog number he has always used, and he gets 350mm. Doesn't have any old stock to compare to, so they must have always been 350mm.

It's possible...

Got them yesterday and they moved the steering wheel up an inch or so so I can see my speedo now! No need to rotate the gauges!

Just wondering how anyone with a mod 07 gets on with the extra dish of the wheel.
I am about to order one but am concerned with the wheel being to close, would be nice for the track but 95% of the time is on the road and I am 5' 9" so dont have the long legs of some that allows the seat to be further back. Maybe I should just go for a prototipo to be safe.

I like it, and I'm 5'11" with fairly short legs. It's hard to say for sure, but I would guess that the combination of my car's shortened hub, plus the quick-release and plus the offset spacer probably combine to put the thing about the same distance fromt he dash as a standard hub.

This is all about personal preference. But I really like the look and feel of the Mod 07 compared to the basic Prototipo. (I know there are many, many guys who would feel just the opposite.)

The distance from the rear facing surface of the wheel to the beginning of the plastic bezel is just over 7cm.
