				Bouncing Tach

I have a 1982 SC and the tach has started bouncing. Previous posts suggest voltage regulator or loose connections. What puzzles me for an electrical issue is that it only starts after 10-20 min of driving, and stops immediately upon idle. Does this fit with a dying voltage regulator? No other symptoms. How do I diagnose this given it is intermittent? Thanks for any advice. | ||

Do you still have points. When mine started to go bad the tach went nutz. New points solved it.

RPMs increase voltage. A VR regulates it..... Throw a meter on it....anything is guess work.
