Speedo intermittently "pausing"

On my '87, from time to time my speedometer (and odometer) will stop working for a little bit and then miraculously start up again.

This is a very sporadic condition and has only occurred a handful of times in the last couple years. When it happens, it only does it for a couple miles and then starts back up.

Any thoughts as to the cause and possible fix? Thanks.

Speedo problems on G50's have been addressed before. The search button is your friend. It takes time but worth it.

I guess I was just being lazy or something. I didn't remember ever seeing anything on G50 speedo issues so made an assumption. Thanks.

And your link was from only a couple months ago! Holy, going senile or something...
