Search by engine number
This site says it's an industrial engine. Stationary used for generating power for other sources, not automotive.

Do I see dual carb intakes ? I would believe these were originally single carb.
Should have this number stamped in top of case : type 616/33-1 , produced from 1963 - 1969 (1933 units) |

It's an Industrial engine and the dual port manifold shown is the industrial one that joins the ports into one, then to a single carb set up.

Thanks gentlemen. Would've been funny if it was found to be extremely rare!
Believe it or not this was a dune buggy engine.

Major money in 356 parts. Depending on your use, you'd be better off hotrodding a Type I ot IV Vw motor....
