update
KMW did a great job in fixing my 3.0. Kevin had to replace parts that were unexpected and did not even attempt to charge me for them. He recommended what needed to be replaced and what could be done later, he worked with me in allowing me to get parts and even sent them back when they were no good. I am confident that with his expertise that my baby will be running great for years to come.
Now as for the insurance co., I highly recommend Hagerty. They could of stuck me with the bill due to some technicality but they too were great from the get go. Lesson learned when trying to save some money skimp on toilet paper not you porsche mechanic. |
Wow, you shouldn't have come up short at all? The other shops insurance should have paid, and you should have received your deductable back once settled. Unless all your "while you are in there" was why it went over of course....
Glad to see some honest people left though for owning up to the mistake... $600 for a single intake gasket though? WOW. |
I would expect nothing less than a perfect engine from Kevin at KMW. You took your car to one of the best engine builders in your state. Glad to hear you've got your car back.

yea im going after the 500 for the original work, to which the first shop owner lied to me. because KMW pulled the old intake gaskets off they were way to old to have been done recently. I am also suing for the 1k deductible + parts that the insurance co. didnt cover at first.
and just got a call from my ins. co. lawyer, they are going after the bulk Hagerty rules |
