Wow...what a muffler!
I just recieved the 2 in 2 out muffler from Triad West. All i can say is "WOW"! This thing is a work of art.
I also have a pair of early heat exchangers. Im all ready to go, but I need to know what kind of oil lines to purchase to make everything work right on my SC. Anybody know the correct part number here at Pelican? Also, what year gaskets should i use between the HE's and the exhaust ports?

Let me know what you think of your muffler. I took mine off and just replaced it with a Monty. Too much resonance for me on my 3.2 while driving. Triad should have shipped the exhaust gaskets and bolts with the muffer. The oil lines you want are the two backdated oil lines for the early heat exchangers, however some guys have been able to bend the existing lines to make it fit. Do a search for SSI oil lines if you consider that as an option.

I came across the website on this board a while back,

about $350, and that number includes the cost for shipping. Best deal ive seen on 2 in 2 out. they got some cool test results on the site...

Damn, look at all those switches or patsch panels-that's not in your house is it . I use to get parts shipped all the time to my office and stash them in the server room also. What is it that you do

Yeah, the server room is the best hiding place around here. And since I'm the only Computer Guy, there's not too many people with access to the room. Its also a great place to take a nap! (aside from the server hum)

I'm 90% of the way through an exhaust backdate...the thermostat will be hell - trust me.
There's a very good tech article here: mark jo's tech article on heat exchanger retrofit But beware there are three errors that will get you: 1) Oil lines are fastened by 36 mm nuts, not 32 mm as indicated. 2) Author recommends 5/16" nuts as spacers when fitting thin flanged HX to SC studs - 5/16" nuts will actually NOT fit over these studs (not big enough) 3) My SC did not require spacing anyway - check the thickness of the flange against the length of the studs. Regarding the modification of the stock SC oil line: Bending the old oil line to fit is probably not going to work for you...it sure didn't for me. I was able to bend the line so that it cleared the passeneger side HX cold air inlet, but there was no way the line would clearthe drivers side HX where the line meets the case.
