Heated Seats?

Has anyone added heated seats to their car?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

BTW, my heat generally works fine; I prefer heated seats to fiddling with my automatic heating control unit between the seats.

Thanks.

Lawrence

I had a shop here in Mass put some on my f150 for 300 bucks both sides. Including decent buttons and wiring. So I guess the parts are there and some people do it for cheap.

Seat Heaters

I had installed these in my Factory Five Roadster, plan to use them in the SC. Very easy to install, nice hardware, hi or low (one or both pads) settings.

I am diggin the 6 stage switch this company offers. Jib, did you get this type? If so, do you happen to know the switch dimensions? I want to see if it will fit in my No Longer used FADER switch at the center console.

My wife will appreciate not freezing when I have the top off in the winter.

Mine is a very discreet rocker switch at the end of the seat rail.

With over 3 months of 100 degree temps, I can't imagine even thinking about heated seats!

Nope, I just opted for the high/low position switch. To be honest I got the seat heaters in when I had the covers installed a few months back. I am waiting to install the switch right now because I'm right in the middle of having interior parts re-covered. I think the center console where the a/c knobs are is actually looking like the best place. The other spot I'm considering is where the cover over the seat motor. I would likely place it more towards the door as it is slightly angled that way, and I could probably spot the LED light in the switch if I left it on for some reason. DRACO I like the look of the 6-position switch too. The size looks pretty standard German accessory switch to me. I bet they would tell you dimensions if you dropped them a email. The switch looks identical to my allroad seat heater switch I think. I promise to get pictures of that (and the whole interior) when I get done. This will likely be awhile though

Thanks Jib, I did contact them but they did not know and really did not want to crack open a sealed box to find out.

Oh well, No worries will be locating them on the side next to OEM height controls.
