not level in the rear
I am rebuilding a 911T.
I needed to put a new metal tube on the left side rear torsion. I replaced the outer 300mm of the tube and used 3" OD X .083 wall tube. I stuck it together knowing it would not be level. Indeed it was low on the left. Then I raised the left up one tooth ( I think ) and it is now too high. At first it was about 50mm low and not it is less than 50mm high. How much should one tooth raise it? Do I need to know anything else or just try again until it sits level? Thanks, Tony |

The inner torsion bar end has 40 splines. The outer end has 44 splines. You turn the inner end up one spline and the spring plate down 1 spline and you get 0.8 degree increments for adjustment that way.

Being able to move it .8 degrees at a time will make it much easier.
Thanks for the information. Tony |
