I couldn't agree more. These cars provide an undescribable feeling. Hopefully I'll have mine running today after 2 months of general maintenance, repair and clean up. I just love this car. I wish I bought a 911 instead of a Corvette 10 years ago.

Finally got what i want

I was stationed in Italy in 1970.I drove a Lancia Fulvia and thought i was cool with the top down.As i drove around keep seeing these nice porsches and swore i'd have one.Well all these years passed and i bought a 87 carrera coupe for my retirement.Really worth the wait.

I just was thinking today - I love this car ..... it's seen a few changes in the last few months - but each step is pretty much bringing me closer to the car. I put down 9 DE's this year and about 7 skills/autoX days - I am on the second set of R888's and preparing for a new set of front brakes. I drive almost everyday to work and even though it gets me there the same speed as my co-workers, I arrive with a smile

hope you love your car too

Nice picture, Ed.
I have tons of fun with my '84 too. Take a look at my (small) avatar. That was at Buttonwillow with my wife riding along. I sorta took it easy with her - until the last session when she was screaming at the cars in front of us to move the F out of the way!

I know this isnt technical - but

I just love driving my car

I have a list of things I want to do that will take it off the road for a while and I just cant seem to convince myself they are worth it - everyday I wake up and think....I am driving it today

I am driving it today

She was SOOO good to me yesterday, I'm driving her again today!!!

The down side is the car is filthy!
(but somehow me thinks the good Dr would approve)

thought I would share some pics from Saturday - like my professional numbers in blue tape? - (forgot my numbers at home....and since I could choose any number, I picked 14...because that is how old I felt all day.....I feel much older when I have to go to work)

hope you enjoy them
(btw, those are my Conti DW street tires.....still fun!)

Hey guys,
Been a while since I updated things, want to keep in touch
So very many changes for me including signing up for a college course and starting classes. I have begun my career 2.0 search and been working tirelessly to find out where I an plug in.

A few months ago my mother in law passed away and we have been dealing with all of the things accociated with those changes in life as well. This has been exceptionally difficult for my wife.

Working hard with the PNWR PCA I have moved up to being I charge of the DE's for our region and giving driver meetings, teaching ground school and running events. Also in the mix I thought it would be a good idea to be one a DE instructor (currently a skills instructor) so that is my "stretch assignment"

The couplers compntinue to be a positive move for people and even though I do not promote them much, sales remain steady, and the newer secret sifter has gained some traction...I expect some more threads coming out soon,...if anyone sees one, please forward to me as I am really busy and might miss them

I would like to thank all of you for your continued support, kind words and business during this stage of my life and can tell you it has truly been a helpful thing at times... I hope to also help others as needed when the time comes, very much humbled by the generosity of the group

Again, things are well, busy and happy, the car had a night lapping session Wednesday and so here is the required TTIWWOP shot
Take care

Ed,
Where did you get your numbers, and are they the re-useable vinyl? Mine got cruddy with dirt on the sticky side after only a few uses.

smooth shifting!
got the cling on numbers here

GoChecker.com Custom Static Cling Race Number Decals, Vinyl, Magnetic

lasted 2 years but there are not easy to work with and i did loose one (had 3)
I would not re-buy them FWIW - but we had a group buy and they were inexpensive
