Flapper box spring surprise

This isn't the most coolest of questions, but when I received my new hardware for my flapper box refresh, the replacement springs were about half the size of the originals.

Now this isn't really a showstopper, but I can clean up the old ones and re-use them, or go with the smaller ones. They might be easier on the auto-heat servo control, but they could be weak too. Any of you guys ever see these or have a comment? Thanks

I'd take the old ones to ACE hardware and see if you could find something similar.

I see now what I did.
The '86 PET didn't show the auto-heat version, but calls for part 999-522-013-01.
The '89 PET did show the auto-heat, and called for 999-522-023-00.
I have and '87 w/autoheat, so it was operator error on my part I reckon. I picked the wrong one thinking it was the correct part - I ignored the year and went with the picture.

been there done that, that is why I like to call and speak to the fellas, they are DIYers and I can ask if there is anything else I may need i,e, washers, o-rings etc... hate doing a job to realize a dust rings needed to be replaced

Just for some closure, I thought I'd post my before and afters for this little project, along with some thanks for those that helped/inspired me whether they knew it or not.

Car is an '87 with the autoheat/thermocouple (temp' sensor) - I found my late-dads' rivet tool and some spare rivets from the 1960's(?!) that were perfect for re-attaching the sensor. I started in the summer 'cause I was in there - a little early for heat, but I am so slow, it's turning out to be just in time :-).
I still should lube the cable - maybe I will get to it when I service the servos from the inside. I removed, cleaned, powder coated in JD Green, and re-used all of the original hardware. (edit:except cotter pins and tubing)

Thanks Peter - it was all luck.
I have no original color ideas in my head and decided to punt and try matching the shock. (wasn't set on black) The powder coater (bonehead performance) had a color called JD green. I actually asked what the JD meant (duh!). It was only later that I read here that the shocks were John Deere Green.
