Clint Rebel Racing

Anyone know what's going on with Clint? He has not been responding for over about two months.

Send a pm to "Flieger", fellow pelicanite. He works with Clint. I would also like to know - I am about ready to pull the trigger on a complete suspension rework.

Good Luck,
Mark

I ordered a rear coilover kit from him a couple weeks ago, and I got it pretty quick.

I haven't been able to get him on the phone since last Friday. He does this sometimes. Sort of goes MIA but then turns up a few days later. Last I heard he had installed the new prototype rear spring plate bushings and was making sure the fit and function was good with some road testing before telling the machine shop to make some more housings. He was going to put in a big order for the A-arm and rear spring plate bushing housings in the next couple of weeks. I am trying to reach him by phone. I think he reads his email often but does not always respond right away, and then gets side tracked with another customer's project or welding struts or machining something, etc.

Poor guy has so many irons in the fire, please be patient and he will come through. He always does and also don't give up trying to call him either at the shop, calling once or twice per day is simply not enough. He is a great guy, and proud to have his products on my car.

I am considering his suspension bushing systems in place of Elephant Racing polybronze, which I've used and loved on 2 cars now.

Any feedback on them?

They are working great for me. They are lighter than the Polybronze and cheaper when you factor in the ER low-friction mounts. I like not having to worry about greasing them.

No more squeaks after switching from those terrible Polyurethane bushings.

Products are great, response to contacts is a little slow. But that happens. In the end you will be taked care of.

Cheers

It generally takes awhile for him to get back to you, but his stuff is really nice.

I too had been unable to reach him by phone lately and emails go unanswered, luckily my struts just showed up after 6 weeks(raised spindles/decambered). Very Nice work done.

I talked to Clint today. He had gone on a trip to help a friend move a boat and the arrangements he made to have the phone calls forwarded to the land line that his Dad would be checking apparently only lasted a few hours and then reverted to the normal full voice mail. The emails to rebel racing were all handled by his Dad during Clint's absence.

DV 993tt, please call Clint today if you can. Emails are good but it is best to talk to him on the phone. Did you send directly to Clint or through another shop? When did you ship the struts?

Thank you all for your patience and for your patronage.

If anyone is still having difficulties, you can email me at maxsluiter@earthlink.net

Rebel Racing may have good products but its customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I've been trying to get in touch with them for a week with no luck. Email has been unanswered and repeated telephone calls result in a voice message with a full mailbox. Before I initiate a dispute with my credit card company, does anybody know what's going on?

The way I look at it - your either in business or your not, its all about service and by the sound of things there is no service @ Rebel Racing, forget what a nice guy Clint may be, you have customers that want service and you don't provide it - then your reputation suffers.
Imagine if Wayne operated his business like RR?
I have never dealt with RR but this kinda thread is a killer to a fledgling company and I won't deal with them because of this thread.
You help a friend move his boat for free or you deal with paying customers, sorry Clint but this is a total fail.

To each his own. I can't fault you for your opinion and you should spend your money where you feel comfortable. However you should refrain from blasting someone you never did business with.
Personally I like to deal with small entrepreneur in spite of their fewer resources, but that's just me.

Clint got me out of a jam this week. He has been slow at times but I understand this as a business owner myself. I will continue to buy from him and I agree with Plavan that he has some nice stuff.

Clint talked to me today. The issues with gabenheimer have been taken care of.

To all: Please make sure that if you give a phone number from a big company that that phone number has a directory with a way to reach your voice mail. Also please make sure to check your voice mail often.
