Question Starting problem

OK 3rd times a charm I hope, have tried to post this over the last two days, keep being told I can't post without moderator approval!

Have owned my 78Sc Targa for about 10 years, was a mostly daily driver for first two years, then mostly weekly, now I drive it alternate years!

This is due to it becoming less and less reliable, I have resolved to get her back to being a reliable driver before she becomes a full time garden ornament!

Problem is this, she sat idle for about almost a year about 2 yrs ago due to failed fuel pump (I was busy with other things!)

Eventually got the new pump, installed started (had cleaned out fuel tank, put fresh fuel and filter at same time), she was very rough eventually settling down.

Drove her at least weekely for a few months, then she left me stranded - towed home. I'd try to crank her periodically - strong crank, fuel pump audibly running, no start, after about 8 weeks, she decided to start , very rough, though evened out. eventually

Kept starting her, 2-3times per week, would drive her for about a mile and then park at home again - never confident enough to turn her off and restart during this short runs

Anyways, had to use for an errand - & she left me stranded again - another tow home.

Wouldn't start for another 8 weeks, now she's starting again, but always very rough.

Any hints, she is very tired! A project which never got off of the ground (someday). Not having any luck finding a mechanic on St Thomas to take her on.

Any guidance much appreciated, just want to keep her moving until I can give her the time and attention she deserves (plus put her fat ass on a diet )
