Can't speak to the quality of Magnecors because I've never inspected them, but my car sports a set of Clewetts and they seem extremely well made. They replaced a set of Berus that were about 12 to 18 inches too long.

Please forgive me but, the only problem I have with Magnecors is that they only come in such bright attention drawing colors that might be more appropriate on a "rice road racer", not a sophisticated German classic.

What's wrong with matching black or gray? Now that would reallIy draw attention on such a clean engine!

I agree. These have been on my car for a long time now, and don't believe the black, smaller diameter Magnecors that Kurt mentioned were available back then. I wasn't too keen about the red "bling" either...

Anyone done a writeup on fabricating wires?

Hi from Australia, bought Clewett (red) a year or more ago from host, the set I got was rubbish, leads broke down from the start, had them tested and almost all failed (bad batch ??), I went back to my 28 year plus Beru`s,no problem ,because of the freight charges to and from Australia, there was no replacement offered by PP,they flicked me onto their supplier who never contacted me,(sorry Wayne) money down the drain, everything else I have bought has been great,no complaints, it is a small price to pay to have access to a multitude of experience and info on this site.Stick with Magnecor
Cheers from Australia
