I have an 84 Targa. There is a little red light on the right side of the steering column which goes on after I turn off the ignition. I cannot figue out what it does. The owners manual doesn't say a thing about it? Help!!!!

It would have to be an aftermarket alarm. I've got one there around there as well. Unless you are talking about the seatbelt light in the ceter, but that should be self explanatory
