Mismatched Front Struts?

I am refurbing my front end. Upon removal of the front struts I have discovered that the driver side strut is correct for an 88 but the passenger side strut is for models up to an 86.

driver side 911 341 041 04
pass side 911 341 044 02

Anybody have an opinion on whether this will matter in replacing the shock cartridge. The struts are Boge.

Any pitfalls that I should be aware of with a mismatched strut? Until removal I had no idea and the car performed well. The shock cartridge on the pass side was leaking and that is what prompted the removal.

Thanks,
Scott

I just bought an 89 front end to put in my 69. Starting with the 964 they changed. Just have the same inserts in both struts. You'll be fine.
