Front strut removal problem

I guess nothing is easy
I am in the process of replacing my front struts, my 72 T has boge black struts.
Started on the passenger side and had some problems removing the top nut but finally got it off
The next step was to push the strut rod down so that I can pull it out the bottom side in the fender but the strut rod seems to be stuck, have done gentle tapping with a hammer and piece of wood but nothing tried even harder blows using the wood and hammer method but nothing
Is there something I'm not doing
The top not is off, the washer removed, the concave plate also out
Is there any thing else
Must be some rust in there
What do the experts here recommend
Mighty frustrated

Yes my suspension is at full droop

I have unbolted the camber plate to drop the whole thing down thru the fender

I wanted to see if I good get the strut spindle off by pulling on it by grabing the camber plate

Again it's really stuck on

The only thing I can think of is to cut the top part of the spindle just above the dust cover to get the strut out

Problem is i would need now camber rubber bushings are these available.

Whoa, that is unusual, the shaft is supposed to rotate, does it rotate at all or is it frozen as well?

Maybe try to spray some penetrating fluid and press it out? I don't the rubber is sold seperately it come as a set I believe.

if it really is stuck you might have to actually HIT it without a wood block to apply enough force to break it free....if you have a scrap of aluminum or brass you can "insulate" the steel hammer with that...but wood may be too soft

strange its stuck - pics?
