# of units by color

I once stumbled upon a site who had early 911's listed by year and color and showed the ammount of each color that was produced. Does anyone have the link to that list, I thought I saved it but I didnt

I have never seen anything like that. I have always heard nobody really knows because good records were not kept.

If you find anything I would like to know too.

I know the site you are referring to but if I recollect it only had production numbers and not the numbers of each colour. Two excellent sites I know are
Porsche 911 Baujahre 1964 bis 1989
and
elferclassic Porsche 911

On the second site if you click on fahrzeugmodelle and then motorensound it has sound bites of the different engines. The sites are in german but most of you guys have learnt a bit over the years

sorry I meant Stuckzahl. They both mean amounts or amount built. On the screen shot you posted at the bottom just above the price for that model 911 SC 9837 were built.

thanks. for some reason almost all cars are listed by single year yet 81-83 sc targa cars all all grouped together. i guess i could just divide it by 3 and call it a day to get my single year.

There was 1430 US Targas produced in 1983. If you check the elferhelfer link I posted and go to FZ-ident (thats the vin number) you will see in red for 1983 sc targa US that the vins go from 1 to 1430 matching production numbers

Thanks guys, I should have saved it. I remember for 1971 targas there where a crap load that were bluntorange , out of the 15k +/- there were like over 4k in that color. I have since found evidence that my car was conda or leaf green and am dying to know how many there were in 71 of those colors
