I like the side with the polished Fuchs. It would be a shame to change that look.

Scott,
Congrats. it looks to be clean & straight...................Nice without the side vinyl and with the top painted to match. Is this one in transit.........or do you already have it ready for show & tell? Can't wait to see it. al PS: I like the last shot, showing the fuchs with the black background.

Nice work Scott. Love the color and the stance. You need to reveal what it has in it or what it will have in it. Welcome to owning the brother to the hands down PCA autocross champ, a Nurburgring race champ, and one bad a$$ little car. I hope I can keep up with you. Let us know when it will arrive.

It's actually in my possession now.
![]() Those here that know me…know that I have owned many Porsches over the years. You also know that I am no stranger to the occasional cross-country trip to pick up my new car. Well, the adventure was not as far as cross-country this time, but it also was not without its interesting twist either. Let's just say that my collection of flat bed pictures of my cars continues in fine fashion with the six. Okay, I should probably explain a little. The flat bed was entirely operator error and absolutely no fault of the six at all. After deciding to purchase the car Wednesday night, I purchased a ticket and flew out Thursday at 3:00 pm for arrival in Reno at 5:00 pm. The plan was to be in the car, gassed up (the car not me) and on the road by 6:00 pm, headed in the direction of Sacramento, to get over Donner Pass by 7:00 pm. I was in such a hurry, because there was a break in the weather on Friday from California to Seattle, however the forecast included snow Thursday night over the Sierras starting at 7:00 pm, so time was of the essence. Suffice it to say, I did not beat the weather, but instead found myself stuck on the side of the road for nearly 3 hours, with no sign of civilization, in 20 degree temps and no heat, waiting for the poor tow truck driver who showed up and froze his butt off digging my car out of over 6 inches of snow, only to flat bed me down the mountain another two hours. Side note: In-N-Out Burger at 1:00 am in a toasty warm hotel room is great! Friday proved to be much better and was a completely uneventful drive back home. All in all, I feel very lucky. I survived, the car survived, and I was able to get back to Seattle by 7:00 pm to share a beer (beers) with some friends.

I was able to flog the six around some local roads yesterday with some other early car owners. It kept up just fine with the likes of 3.6s and hot 3.0s, so the little 2.7 will probably suffice for now. Of course we weren't under track conditions, but at least I wasn't left in the dust either.

What a great looking car. I am not generally a fan of polished Fuchs, but on your ride they just seem to fit.
Looks like a lot of fun in your future.

Hey Scott, nice car but I liked your last one as well. Did I see your old car at the Parts Obsolete weekend ? I hear you're planning on being on the CanAm tour, hope to see your new ride there. Quite the story about the snow storm, I can't imagine what a 6-powered 914 with summer rubber would be like in the snow....never mind six inches. Cheers
