oily cylinder (on just one header pipe)

Hmmm... I seem to have quite a bit of oil dropping into my headers from just one cylinder. See photos. All others (and the other side) is totally dry.

What's the typical cause of this? Need to rings or ?

It's a 1991 964 engine that was rebuilt by Andial about 30k miles and 6 years ago.

It seems to be a used valve seal .

Perhaps should you unscrew the header concerned to have a look at the valves.

You'll be able to identify the issue.
