Loose green wire behind gauges
Hi All,
Behind my gauges I see a solid green wire with a female spade connector not connected to anything. Per the Bentley gauge wiring diagrams the only solid green wire goes to the fuel level gauge and that's present and working properly. As far as I can tell everything's working properly. Any idea where this wire belongs? |

I have that same mystery wire. Mine is tucked up under the radio. I have not figured it either .

I had a random green wire under my frunk near the passenger head lamp. I tested it and my horn went off, but the horns works fine o.o . Maybe some sort of alarm add on that was never picked?

Ha, yes, everything's working properly. I'll take the gauge out and take a pic. It comes out about 3-4" from a sheath with other gauge wiring so it can't really connect anywhere other than the gauge area.

I found the same green wire on my 78 the other day when I was hooking up my gauges and spent an hour looking through the dang wire diagrams trying to figure out where the heck it was supposed to go??? I found a couple threads here with some asking the same question... nobody seems to have the answer.

The green wire to nowhere is on my 1973 diagram. It was for the Sportmatic trans.
