Throttle bellcrank question

On my 86 Turbo's throttle linkage, the ball and socket on the trans end, as well as the on the way up to the throttle blade, just pop off with a little pressure.

However, this one doesn't seem to want to budge. I've put more than enough force into prying it that I now wonder if there is somehow something holding it on. There is a little wire wrapped around the bottom of it that almost seems like safety wire, but I can't see how it works.
Anyway, any words of advice? Is there a trick, or just more force till ip pops off?
Thanks

You can see the safety wire clip that goes around the throttle rod end just behind the ball socket. This clip wraps around a groove in the rod end. Use a small screwdriver to pop the clip out then lube the ball socket and pry it off with the open end of a 10mm wrench. Sometimes they are rusted and don't come off so easy. It would be easier to visualize if you could see a clip by itself.

Thanks for the reply! Mine isn't entirely intact now that I look at your picture. But that's the answer.
Cheers

900.169.014.02 Its also used under the accelerator pedal on many cars before the beginning on the engine in 1984.

I googled around when looking for these ball joint assemblies, and found a family owned business which does just about nothing else. All different sizes and types, metric and inch, etc.

I bought a couple of extra pins, and remember thinking they were awfully expensive for how little they are, but not $15 each! I suppose it is the difficulty of bending spring steel wire to a fairly precise shape which justifies a hefty premium over some hardware store cotter pins and the like.

You must insure the pivot is parallel to that arm, if in an angle like in your pic it will never come off without damaging the part/s, it is design not to pop off on an angle.

Hope this helps.
