No substitute.....

Since I have just joined this merry throng, I feel obliged to introduce my beloved car to you genial Pelicanistas....

Not good enough for the "best photo" category... some fantastic photographs in there! Used Sony P5-DSC 3.1MPix

Can't keep my hands off this machine!

Beautiful car you have there. Looks like it's been sitting under a garage most of it's life.

Great looking interior Jon. The red piping looks great with the red exterior. White's gotta be tough to keep tidy, no?

Curt, try playing left handed! I loved the "uh oh" i'd get whenever I would walk up to the first tee as a young kid. Funny how the fellas would warm up to the lefty when they realized I could actually keep pace with them!

Thanks for the kind comments all......

Tim, snap indeed, I could never understand why targa's are cheaper in the UK.... I love all 911's equally! Not complaining though!

Kevin, linen leather interior was popular here, and the seats were scruffy when I bought the car. Cracked, dry and scuffed. I have restored them since, along with the bodywork. Wheels are next, then underside and engine bay (filthy!). I just give the seats a wipe of cleaner once a month or so. They seem very durable, good for another 13 years!

I have driven left and right hand drive and find no problem with either, as long as it's a Porsche...

As a lifelong enthusiast I hope i can contribute something to this excellent and very useful BBS.

Very nice, you must be thrilled. As far as not being able to keep your hands off it, I can relate to that! Reminds me of my early teenage years when I figured out how to..........well nevermind, I understand how you feel!
