Is anyone running 225-50-16 tires on all four wheels?

I am putting RS flares on my 1970T. I have been toying with going to 17" wheels just because of 16" tire availability. I decided to stay at 16" with a 1.25" spacer in the rear. It seems that the number of tire choice opens up significantly if I use the 225-50-16 size on all four corners. I am using 951 7 and 8" Fuchs. I was wondering if anyone else had done this and what the result was.
Thanks

I've got 225/50/15s all around. I like it, I have had no issues.

Works good. I ran 225's on 7s all around and also 8s all around.

Here's proof that your car won't burst into flames and kill you if you don't run the staggered wheel/tire sizes that the braintrust at Porsche originally specified for the car ('87 in my case).

I used 930 spacers to fill out the rear fenders. Note that the 8 I used in the rear was a 951 offset 8. The 911 offset 8 is a bit too much outboard for a 930 spacer

I have 951 offset 7's and 8's. I was going to put 225-50-16 on all 4 wheels with 1.25" spacers in the back. Sound ok to you?

At least they could be rotated properly! I like the idea in that regard, with spacers, but then, I like the fat meat from the rear view...er...on/under the car, only, I mean, I'm sure, of course, well, you know what I mean, Holy cow......what have I said.....

Depends on how much room your new flares give you. I ran 245/45 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup on the 16x8 rear with a 930 spacer and it fit fine. My 245 tire is a bit wider than your 225, but my wheel had a bit more offset (it was a +28mm o/s BBS RS wheel) and the 930 spacer is ~0.15 in. thinner than 1.25 in.

This wheel info, courtesy of Bill Verburg and other contributors, is a good reference to get an idea how the wheel will move in/out with offset differences or spacer installation

Are you using wheel adapters (they bolt onto the existing wheel studs) or using longer studs and slip-on spacers? The only reason I ask is because I used 72mm studs with my 930 spacers and just had enough thread engagement with steel lug nuts. If you were to use thicker spacers with 72mm studs, I don't think you'd have ample threads for the lug nuts.

I am using an adapter
