Jim, keeping my fingers crossed this is it. After spending 15k for a lot of work not even 9 months ago on rebuilds, etc, I knew it was something simple and stupid. Just learning about these simple, but pain in the asses machines. lol I do enjoy learning about these cars and to be able to do it yourself, awesome.
And yes, 800 rpms. ![]() Now on to fixing the damn heater fan. Arrgh, I hate electronic stuff. But still learning!

LOL.
Heater fan? which ones, foot blowers or engine? If engine, remove and bench test it with a 12 volt source. if shot replace with the part from our host. I tried the less expensive Grainger motor but my car did not like it. It worked but only on high. Swapped to the part from our host and it functions as designed. If foot blowers, make sure the switches at the levers are making proper contact when rear fan is on. If that checks out then the motor/s may be gone. I would also consider placing some fuses there like our 87-89 3.2 brothers ![]() PM me if you want more details, Jim

Well, after about 50 miles of running great, that damn surge is back again!! I guess I'll check the intake bolts again and try some other tests tomorrow when the weather is halfway decent. This has to be an easy fix!!
