Getting Power to Seats

First time caller here...I bought my 87 Targa 4 years ago and have used the Pelican forums a few times when I needed advice and assistance. I would like thank all those who have posted and Pelican for providing this excellent tool.
Recently, I replaced my worn out seats with newer seats that have full power to both sides. The old passenger seat did not have power and I would like to be able to use the power functions. Is there any way to get power to it? After installing both seats, I noticed that I left the passenger seat in raised position and now my wife sits higher than me!
Thanks again,
Dave

There had to be a wiring harness for the seat you bought.

I would go back to your source for the seats and get the harness.

Also, the Bentley shows the wiring to both seats on page 970-44.

Gerry.

993 Seats in an SC

I don't have any photos of the wiring, but if you read what I wrote, it's pretty self explanatory.

Thanks for the the replies. Today, after taking the seat out and removing an amp that had been previously installed under the seat, I was able to see under the passenger seat left side support railing. Sitting curled up under the support railing was the power end for the seat with what looked like a factory cover protecting the business end! I guess, even though the car was not optioned with a passenger power seat, they provide the power supply. Now onto replacing the carpets and reinstalling the seats. Thanks again.
