badge paint color/finish?

Hi everyone,
I have a black '83 SC that I'm putting a non spoiler engine lid on. I may be putting a black '911SC' badge on the lid but the badge I bought needs repainting.
What color/finish black are these badges. I'm having the lid painted so should the badge be painted with the same black paint paint?
The paint that's on the badge almost looks like that Wurth satin black.

Thanks

In this case i would recommend painting it the same color as the lid. I recently repainted my wheels and painted the badge the same satin black but used some testors enamel paint to color the crest.

Wurth satin black will give a good approximation of the original finish. Make sure you clean the emblem REALLY well before painting.

The wurth satin makes sense. as I mentioed, the badge kind of looks like that color but I wasn'r sure if it was just it's old condition.

Thanks
Michael
