Recent Road Trip Pics - SoCal to Zion, UT

Decided to ring in the new year with a road trip to Zion National Park in Utah. (Absolutely gorgeous if you're able to visit).

Car performed beautifully. From Autobahn speeds to treacherous stop-n-go highway traffic in the Vegas area, the 911 provided the reliability and conveniences of a modern car, but with the excitement and feel of a classic 911.

Pics below for your enjoyment.

Impressive cargo capacity.

Gorgeous! Zion is a must-see, I agree...did you do Angel's Landing?

Yup! We hiked Angel's Landing and even hiked through the Narrows in the cold water. Well worth the cold temps. P-car sat in the parking lot for those.

Beautiful. Zion ties for first place amongst the NP's with Glacier (my humble opinion). We were there in October with our '88. Thanks for the pics. Safe travels.

Thanks for posting these pictures, we are headed there next fall. Saw the Teatons and Yellowstone last year. Glacier a couple of years ago, where a copter ride was well worth the money. And The Grand Canyon several times, hiked from both rims and white water rafted down. Life changing experience. Great Gift to have these in our country.

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.

Looks like a fantastic time! Zion has been on my to go list for some time. I'll have to swing by and do a trip to both Vegas and Zion one day.

What caught my eye immediately was the 55MPH speed limit sign with that long strait in the boonies. Pure insanity.

Did all the Utah parks except Zion, which was on the list, after my wife fell on a hike and broke her arm in two places. If any one reading this thread has not done, Arches, Bryce, Capital Reef, the Grand Canyon definitely put it on your bucket list. Stupendous sights, like the OP has given you a taste and epic drives between.

Very nice pics!
The most impressive pic is the first. What other sport car could handle that much plus 2 people?

I think I went with 15mm, afraid that 21mm wouldn't fit.

That's Route 9, inside Zion National Park.

Mad tetris skills and creative use of the backseats (squeezing things past the roll bar was tricky, but stayed in place throughout the trip!)
