Headlight Switch Question

Just discovered this BB seems like a great thing. My first question is a seeming easy one buts its sort of brought my project to a screeching halt. How do you remove the headlight switch from the dash? Now stop laughing! I took the little plastic cover off hoping to find a nut to remove but found like a ring that I can get hold of. I'm in the process of replacing my turnsignal/ dimmer switch (stalk switch) and would like to remove the headlight switch so I can get at the wires easier. (Its also loose). Thanks for reading this.

Oh yea, 1979 911 SC.

I'm going install headlight relay while I'm in there!

Hello

Remove symbolcap.

Unscrew M6 nut

Unscrew knob

Unhook ground

Turn bezel or turn switch on the rear. To turn bezel you can use a retainer clip tool.

On targa and convertible the switch is hidden behind the structur reinforcment corner brace.

Voila it is now hanging down easy visible and accesible.

Grüsse
